Nasal septum surgery (septoplasty), in-office

A septoplasty or nasal septum surgery is an outpatient surgical procedure performed to correct a deviated nasal septum. The most common reason for the surgery is to correct poor airflow through the nasal passages and to improve breathing. Occasionally, a deviated septum can be the underlying cause of symptoms such as snoring, chronic sinus infections, chronic headache, or chronic nasal bleeding. This surgery is often performed under local and sedative anesthesia as an outpatient procedure. Additionally, this procedure can be combined, for aesthetic purposes, with a septorhinoplasty to improve the appearance of the nose.
