Abdomen MRI, with and without contrast

An abdomen MRI is a diagnostic test that uses a strong magnet and technical imaging techniques to take very detailed pictures of the soft tissue structures inside the abdomen, including the stomach, intestinal tract, liver, spleen, kidneys, pancreas, and gallbladder. The test uses a contrast medium called gadolinium to make the images sharper and to enhance the ability of the scanner to find abnormalities.
