Arm MRA, with and without contrast

An arm Magnetic Resonance Angiography (MRA) is a type of MRI that uses a strong magnet and high-end imaging technology to take very detailed pictures that allow for the evaluation of blood vessels as well as different properties of the tissue around them. These images allow the doctor to identify any structural problems in the blood vessels within your arm. Contrast involves the injection of a substance known as gadolinium, which allows the enhancement of certain tissues. This provides an additional layer of information for defining the diagnosis.
