Arm MRV, with contrast

An arm Magnetic Resonance Venography (MRV) is a type of MRI that uses x-ray waves and a magnet to take very detailed pictures that allow the evaluation of blood vessels as well as different properties of the tissue around them. These images allow the identification of structural anomalies of the blood vessels within your arm. Contrast involves the injection of a substance known as gadolinium, which allows the enhancement of certain tissues. This provides an additional layer of information for making the diagnosis.
