Knee MRI, one side, with contrast
A knee MRI is a diagnostic test that uses a strong magnet and technical imaging techniques to take very detailed pictures of the soft tissue structures inside the knee. The test is used to look for structural abnormalities in any of the soft tissues, such as the ligaments, tendons, bones, joints, or muscles. The test uses a contrast medium called gadolinium to make the images sharper and to enhance the ability of the scanner to find abnormalities.
