In-office teeth whitening procedures can vary, depending on the type of whitening agent used and depending on the provider's preference. In-office whitening procedures are more effective than in-home procedures, due to the ability to apply higher concentrations of the whitening agent while targeting each tooth individually. In-office procedures are often done in several consecutive visits, according to your specific needs. The entire visits take around 90 minutes; during this time the whitening agent is applied for 30 to 60 minutes. Occasionally, light activation might be included in the treatment.
