These at-home tests can detect the presence of IgE and IgG antibodies causing allergies or food sensitivities. There are many different tests on the market. The finger is pricked and drops of blood are placed on a piece of absorbent paper. You then send the sample to a laboratory. The lab will be able to tell you which IgG and IgE antibodies were found in the blood. If antibodies are found to a specific allergen, you may be allergic to the substance.
